Yes! Creating an account and posting a wish is completely free. On donations, PayPal charges its standard processing fee and WISHLane takes a small platform fee (currently 3%). Both are shown before you pay.

You can browse all wishes without an account, but you'll need to sign up to donate or create your own wish. Signing up takes less than a minute.

WISHLane is available worldwide for browsing and creating wishes. Donations are processed through PayPal. To receive donations, a wish owner needs a PayPal Business account in a country where PayPal supports receiving payments.

Click 'Make a Wish' in the navigation, fill in your wish title, description, category, goal amount, and optional deadline. You can also add photos and specific registry items donors can gift directly.

WISHLane supports 9 categories: Birthday 🎂, Medical ❤️‍🩹, Education 📚, Charity 🤝, Travel ✈️, Business 💼, Creative 🎨, Emergency 🚨, and Other ✨.

Yes, wish owners can edit the title, description, goal, deadline, and photos at any time from the wish page. Donations already received are not affected by edits.

You can set any deadline you choose or leave it open-ended with no deadline. Wishes remain active until the deadline passes or they are fully funded.

Yes! You can add specific items to your wish (like a laptop, wheelchair, or books) with a name, price, and optional link. Donors can purchase and gift these items directly.

Your wish is automatically marked as 'Funded' and a celebration banner appears. You'll receive a notification and donors will see the wish is complete. You can still view all donations and messages.

Click the 💜 Donate button on any wish card or visit the wish page. Choose an amount (or enter a custom amount), leave an optional message, and complete payment through PayPal. It takes about 60 seconds.

You can pay with your PayPal account, or with a debit or credit card through PayPal's checkout.

Yes! When making a donation, check the 'Donate anonymously' option. Your name will be hidden from the wish owner and other visitors, though the donation amount will still be shown.

'Fulfill a Wish' means covering the entire remaining amount of a wish in one go. You become the hero who fully grants someone's wish! You can do this as yourself or as an organization.

Donations are generally non-refundable as they go directly toward granting someone's wish. If you believe a wish is fraudulent, please contact us immediately via the Contact page.

Donations go straight into the wish owner's own PayPal account the moment they're made — WISHLane never holds them. Before a wish can accept donations, its owner connects a PayPal Business account and PayPal verifies it.

No — WISHLane never purchases, holds, or ships physical goods. You gift a registry item by buying it yourself from the retailer and having it shipped to the wish owner, and no payment for the item passes through WISHLane. Once you've ordered, tap "I've placed the order" so the owner knows it's on the way.

We run automated monitoring to catch suspicious contribution patterns (for example, unusual velocity or amounts structured to avoid review), and can pause a wish so it takes no further donations while we review it. Donations go directly to the wish owner's PayPal account, and WISHLane has no process — automated or manual — that verifies or tracks how they're actually spent. Misrepresenting a campaign's purpose violates our Terms and can lead to account suspension, but we are not an escrow agent or auditor. If you believe a wish is fraudulent, please contact us.

Absolutely. WISHLane never sees or stores your card details or PayPal password. All payments are handled entirely by PayPal, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security.

We use bcrypt password hashing, email verification on signup, optional two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, account lockout after 5 failed login attempts (15-minute cooldown), rate limiting on all sensitive endpoints, and HTTPS encryption.

Yes! Your donation history appears in your profile dashboard. You can also revisit any wish you donated to and see how it progressed toward its goal.

The minimum donation is $1. There is no maximum — you can fulfill an entire wish if you choose.

Yes! When fulfilling a wish, you can identify yourself as an organization. Your organization name will appear on the wish page as the generous grantor.

Yes, PayPal emails you a payment receipt after every successful donation.

No. Donations made through WISHLane are personal gifts to the wish creator, not charitable contributions. WISHLane is not a registered nonprofit or 501(c)(3), so donations — including to wishes tagged "Charity" — are generally not tax-deductible. Consult a tax professional about your specific situation.

Photos must be JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP and under 10MB. If you're still having trouble, try a different browser or reduce the image size before uploading.
